Bruce VanWart Retiring!
Ran across the Bruce VanWart retiring announcement on the AGF and confirmed it by checking Collings’s social media. Congratulations Bruce and hope you have a wonderful retirement. I can’t thank you enough for all the enjoyment I’ve had playing my Collings instruments!

Re: 2022 Collings Prices?
Whatever the prices become, I can honestly say that, for me, the costs for my Collings have been well worth it based on the many, many hours of pure joy I have had playing them. I can’t think of too many other things I have enjoyed during my life more, particularly when the costs are amortized over ...

Re: Small-bodied Collings - flatpick
Hey Dan! Good to see you posting again. I wanted to chime in on a small-bodied Collings that is one of my favorites and hasn’t been suggested, yet: a C-10. The C-10 has a different neck profile that is closer to an electric than Collings’s other small-body acoustics, so you may find it a little easi...

Re: TRADED! - Collings OM1A JL Julian Lage Signature Model with Adirondack Top
Hello Backdrifter, Sorry for the tardy response, but wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying the OM1G Wenge Custom (deep-body, Vintage Now neck, no tongue brace) that you helped me find. It is my favorite guitar and I am not planning on ever letting it go. Please know that I often think of you...

Re: Collings Case Vs. Calton
Hello Trav, I have both Calton and Collings-made cases and only travel with my Calton—just don’t want to risk guitar damage due to rapid temperature or humidity changes. And, I absolutely love the Collings cases for their beautiful design and perfectly executed construction—don’t want them to suffer...

Re: Foreplay/Long Time - My LLB Top Ten #6
Hi Dale, Fabulous cover! I was a big Boston fan and always appreciated their carefully crafted sound which you and the LLB just nailed. Was the C-10 being played by the lead vocalist your guitar? Wish I was there “live” to hear your performance—must have been special! Thanks for sharing!

Re: Runout
I have a question regarding spruce tops that I believe is related to runout. As the excellent link to the Frank Ford website demonstrated (thanks Haasome), runout is the result of differences in how light is being reflected by wood. Slight differences in how perpendicular the wood grain is with resp...

Re: Imagine - Collings 01A
Hi Dale,
What a delicate and beautiful arrangement of one of my favorite Lennon songs. And, what an appropriate sentiment to be considering right now. Thank you very much for sharing!

Re: You Can't Always Get What You Want - acoustic cover
Dale, After watching your acoustic cover of this classic Stones song multiple times, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your version—in fact I think it is among my favorites of your performances. Great harmonies, tasty lead playing, I’m sure even Mick and the band would be impressed. W...
