Re: You can only have two.
I’ve had some smaller bodied guitars, but always gravitate back to dreads. So that makes for an easy, if not boring, decision: 1 mahogany and 1 rosewood. But my D1A & D2HBG are oh so satisfying.

Re: Are all changes bad?
I agree with Frank’s words. I generally don’t like changes, though slotting the bridge doesn’t seem like a big deal. Have you researched Bryan Kimsey’s work in modding Martins?

Re: Finally!!! D2H-SB
Randall, congratulations! Sounds like it was worth the wait. The binding on fretboard and headstock is a custom option. The model designation on the interior label will indicate the top wood. The OM-T is the only OM I’ve ever felt the need to buy. If buying a new Collings I’d probably be looking for somethin...

Re: In Case You Missed It

Maybe we’ve gotten old and bored with each other. Maybe no one’s playing guitar any more. I know I ha...

Re: What picks do you like?
1.5mm (give or take) in the Dawg, Golden Gate, Red Bear, Blue Chip, Apollo varieties. I’ve tried the Dunlop PrimeTone and they’re okay. Also the Wegens, but they sound too plastic-y to me.
