Re: What’s your earliest Collings?
According to the tables mine is a ‘92, but Collings says it was likely late ‘91.Eric Jones wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 11:32 pmWow. My 3/99 D1A seems young by comparison. S/N is somewhere in the high 4000’s.
I’ll try to get some pics up.

What’s your earliest Collings?
I’ve got #356. It’s an OM. Collings didn’t put any designations on the label then. This one has an abalone rosette and no inlay on the fingerboard. Tuners have been changed to gold Waverlys. It’s had a top crack repaired. It sounds huge and plays great.

Mono M80 Dreadnaught case/bag
I don’t need a D size anymore. This one has been barely used. M80’s offer superior protection.

Re: Traditional Series Neck Size Change
. I bought an OM1AT...had the skinny neck. Did it have the optional 1-11/16” nut width? My OM2G with Collings’ standard neck is just fine. Is it 1-3/4” nut width? 1 3/4” nut on both. I’m fine playing a 1 11/16” nut, though. It’s the thickness and shoulders I don’t care for on the new T necks.
