Re: Saddle Height Concern

With a saddle height of 6/32” (approximately 4.8 mm) above the bridge, your string break angle and pressure on the bridge saddle slot have certainly increased compared to factory setups for most acoustic guitars. While raising the saddle helps correct action and fret-outs, multiple sources indicate ...

Re: Traditional Collings case

Collings Traditional Dreadnought and Collings CJ35 both use deluxe hardshell cases, but there can be slight differences due to body shape and dimensions. Re: FS or FT: 2022 OM2H (Sitka, 1 11/16") $4200

Your Collings OM2H sounds like a fantastic instrument—classic Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, a true blend of tone and craftsmanship. The 1 11/16" nut width and the standard neck profile make it very comfortable for fingerstyle and flatpicking alike. It’s great to hear it ...

Re: Matt Arcara....MGA Guitars

Sounds like you scored a great find — the Arcara D1s I’ve heard and read about seem to have that sweet spot between power and warmth, so it’s cool to hear yours delivers exactly what Andy described. Matt’s definitely developing a reputation for nailing that balance, and if his guitars are moving ...

Re: Collings C100 Deluxe

Sounds like you scored an amazing instrument!
That Sitka spruce over East Indian rosewood combo on a C100 must give you a really rich, balanced tone — plenty of sparkle on the top with that deep, smooth low end. After 5 months, it’s probably opening up nicely too.
