Late to join, but 1. graphite in the nut slots,
2. slight adjustment with a nut saw by someone who knows what they are doing,
3. Don't up and down tune, keep the tension consistent.
4. Try this tuning method : https://youtu.be/WZ51rIIvlwQ

Re: D'Addario String Problem
D'addario make zillions of strings and most are of exemplary quality,BUT - there can be issues ad it will be a batch problem.

Re: Realistic this market price for my guitar
I also dislike cutaways aesthetically and do not /would not have one even on a n archtop.
I really do not see/hear anything musically attractive about the sound of an acoustic guitar above the 12th fret.

Re: D'Addario 12-53 Lights vs, Martin 12.5-55
Hi Teja, this and other fora don't seem to get as much traffic as they deserve. I don't use an OM as I only play 12 fret Collings and my equivalent is my 0002h, which is possibly my favourite Collings guitar.
I would say that I have only used lights on it - both Ej16s and Martin MA540 (T) and both ...

Re: Bridges
Hi Stuart, et al,
I'm a 12 fret freak, and have three DS models, an 000, and recently, a 00.
I expect a belly bridge on my dreads (with mediums) and pyramids on the rest (with lights).
So Martin deigned these great guitar shapes, but I've seen belly bridges on the smaller guitars, which just ...

Re: You can only have two.
Well, I'd want to have one of my Collings Dreads, so I guess it would be my 2007 Ds2h.
The other , maybe my recently acquired '99 002h .... but I'd sorely miss my '03 0002h, and I'd lose a quarter of my repertoire if I couldn't have my Martin D12-20/35 custom.

Collings 002h 1998 build. changes since 1998?
Well, I have finally got my long awaited Collings 00 to go with my Ds2h (08) and my 0002h(03).
It doesn't seem to have been played much - maybe spent a long time as a wall hanger.
It's slowly coming back to life, but really needs playing in.
My question is that the rosewood back and sides do not ...

1999 oo2h. Pick guard??
It appeared on UK Ebay last weekend.
It arrived at my home today (12th).
I won't be using a pick on this lovely little guitar, but I like my flat tops to have pickguards
Does anyone, by chance have a suitably sized unused pick guard they don't want?

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLLINGS, AND WHY?
Hi, it's too quiet around here, so I thought I'd rattle the coffee cups a little.
My first Collings was a new DS2h bought in 1999, after a long search for a dreadnought the fitted my hands and style (I'd been looking for a Martin D18/28/35-S (1 & 7/8" nuts) a kind sales guy in London got two DS2hs ...

Re: Collings Nomenclature and Specs
How are yuo getting on Greg? Yuo should be aware that the "T" style 12 fretters all have 1 & 3/4" nut widts for some reason, which would negate them for me, as i only went the Collings way for the wider fretboards. I have three dreads and a 000 all 12 frets 1 & 13/16! nuts.
