Re: Collings Acoustics and Old Strings

Hi, I used to change strings on all my 6 string flat-tops every two months, 12 strings, mando and Dobro every three. Things changed in 2017 when I had cancer treatment - got very weak, and lost my voice, and I couldn't think of playing for some months. In the caes the strings held out pretty well, l...

Jumbo King ... 12 fret ???

Hi folks, Sorry I haven't been around much - new laptop etc. When I bought my WL12 inh 2016, they had every model avaiable including a Jumbo King but it wasn't what I ws looking for, (a Gibson L-00 actually, but the Waterloos looked better made, and there was a 12 fret, so it came home with me. I'll...

Oh yes, a 12 string, something like a Stella, or Harmony h1270 (I've got one and it's great).

Re: The T series - Please explain to me

Hi folks, I'm sorry that I haven't been around for a while but I've just caught up, and my thanks to all for answering my question. I'm wondering if te "T" series were a response to the Martin "Authentic" line or were they on the drawing board earlier? Do you folks think that there is a similarity i...

Re: WL-12 MH & JP Pure Nickle Wound Lights ++ Good

Hi folks, in November 2016, I went out to buy a Gibson l-oo, and came home with a WL12 which,to me sunded better than a number of Gibsons in the shop. Once home I couldn't get to enjoy it, and in January, they told me I had throat cancer, and the guitar went up on the wall in my study, opposite big ...

The T series - Please explain to me

Hi,
I'm not in the market, but a friend of mine is adamant that he wants a Collings and it has to be a "T" version OM.

I am assuming that the main difference is that they are more lightly built and more lightly finished.

What am I missing?

thanks in advance. ol Andy

Re: Waterloo WL12 NGD

Hi, I bought my wl12 in November 2016. Got it ho w and decided I didn't like it so much. Hung it on the wall in my little office where it listened to the radio whenever I was in there (I spend a lot of time in there). In the following January, they told my I had throat cancer , then after a couple o...

Re: What CAPO?!?

Hi guys. I have ... a number of Collings guitars, and other similar value instruments, because I appreciate good quality. I use Blue chip icks, and change my strings frequently. I've used the basic Shubb capos - C1b ? - and they work just fine. I'm not against spending if something improves my playi...

Re: storage for flatpicks and fingerpicks

When I got my first Blue Chip pick I had to think hard about where to store it carefully.

I saw one of these in an antique shop - I think my wife bought it for me. Since then they have become standard issue in all my guitar cases :
