Re: Waterloo Production Status 2022
^^^ I heard the same thing from Steve at AMW yesterday. He said all is well at Collings but they are sticking to what they are most known for. High end acoustics and electrics. Like the handmade cases & Uke's, Waterloo's are likely gone. Mandolins are likely next. They were some of Bill's pet pr...

Re: Waverly Nickel Butterbean Tuners
My guess is he went with the relic'd finish or an exotic wood button Waverly.
I've done that a few times.

Re: CJ45T Follow up
Great to hear guys and I feel the same about mine for sure. What strings are you settling in on? I'm using the D'addario NB's in medium....PB mediums were/are stock. I'm considering trying some PB again either in medium or maybe even light gauge. All I ever use on my CJ45 and D1AT is John Pearce PB...

Re: CJ45T Follow up
You know, I love my CJ45TA, but I don't see that much about them after the initial roll out. In fact, TME has had one, now two (the new one with a smaller neck) for sale for a long while now. Very surprising. I snagged the first one they got as soon as I saw it thinking it wouldn't last long. It's a...

Re: In Case You Missed It
Wow Frank....I had no idea what you were going through while trying to get the old forum back/creating this one. And yes, God still has you here for a reason. I have not been around here as much this past year for a variety of reasons. But I will do better. I'd hate for it to fade away. Thanks for w...

Re: Replacing the Kluson ABR-1 bridge...
I recently purchased a Collings SoCo 16 LC , which should arrive any day. Of course, with Collings the fit, finish, tone, is absolutely exquisite. However, I did notice Collings uses the infamous Nickle-coated Zinc Kluson ABR-1 + Tailpiece. Not to question a company known for their top-notch crafts...

Re: Am I Being Too Picky?
Turns out it is an early 2009 guitar! So what did I really buy for a nearly new price? A NOS 12 year old guitar and a beat up case? I am guessing so. It looks like that is the case Frank....pun intended. For what it's worth, I like those older TKL cases better than the new ones which can be hit or ...

Here is another demo that sounds great...so much so I ordered a Carr Telstar as in the video. This smooth, dynamic amp sounds like a perfect match for this instrument.

Re: 470 JL
I've had my 470 a few weeks now and it's the most exciting new electric I've had in years. Collings continues to amaze with new instruments. And the quality just keeps going up! Bill would be very proud. This guitar is light and lively. The dynamic range is amazing. It's bright and clear, but not th...
