Re: Are all changes bad?

The good news is that there are many players who believe that the sun rises and sets in Nazareth. You'll have interested buyers.

Re: Are all changes bad?

I certainly understand the desire to protect your investment but I really buy guitars for my personal enjoyment. I can't be bothered worrying about what others might think of improvements that i feel will make my guitars more playable for me.

Re: You can only have two.

I am the proud custodian of a Collings D2H built in 2000 to cover the dark side with its Rosewood B&S.

On the other side of things I have a wonderful Martin D18V built by the Martin Custom Shop in 2004 from a beautiful piece of Quilted Mahogany.

Re: Temperature change

a 10 degree temperature change should not be a problem. The instrument would possibly need to be retuned but will be fine. Players that play outdoors do it all the time. From an air conditioned green room to an outdoor stage and then back again.

Re: Collings coffee mugs

Instead of posting here about this why not send an e-mail to the folks at Collings asking them to order more inventory.
Whomever does the ordering would want to have some as long as they know there is enough interest.

Re: OM2H 2001 or OM2H 2021?

I was faced with that choice several years ago. I was in a dealer's shop who had a brand new 2010 Collings D2H and a well cared for 2000 D2H. He was nice enough to put brand new strings on each and let me have at it. After playing both and listening to him play both there was no question in my mind ...

Re: Collings Re-fret/Neck Re-set

Use you local guy. Some players want to change the fret wire and that is fine, others (Including me) prefer to stay with the OEM wire. If so Collings will sell you fret wires that match for your guy to use.

Re: Humidifiers

Living in Arizona, I needed a room humidifier for my guitars. (Today is 19%). I just bought a room humidifier that is supposed to keep the room at about 50% relative humidity. What are you all using to keep our babies in a great climate? Thanks John I use a Venta LW25 Air Washer: https://www.amazon...
