Re: New Guitar & Harmonic Resonance
More like sympathetic string vibrations to the soundwave vibrations in the air from the electric guitar especially if it volume was up somewhat.

Re: Bridges
A pyramid bridge is ok with medium gauge strings on the E and B (0.13 and 0.17) strings (at least in standard tuning or lower tension tunings) according to the info I got from contacting Collings many years ago and I have used them as such ever since on my Collings C10. Keep light gauge on the other...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLLINGS, AND WHY?
Collings C10 Deluxe.
Like the looks, the comfort playing it (not too big) and the way it records:
For example a couple of my recordings on it:

Re: Relief or no relief? What do you think?
"Can lower action and better playability be achieved with relief or a totally flat neck? I wouldn't say better. Depends on what is going on with the rest of the setup and the typical relieve amount in a good setup is very, very, small to begin with. "In addition, still considering a low ac...

Re: resonant frequency
The Helmholtz resonance of many guitars is right in the F# range (an octave lower than the F# of what you are hearing). To check the Helmholtz resonance frequency of your guitar hum into the soundhole starting at low frequency and increase the frequency until the guitar body blooms in resonance at t...

Re: Am I Being Too Picky?
Looks fine to me from that photo. There is a little pressure on the guitar from the padding when you close the case. Nothing wrong with that, especially on a brand new case as padding will compress down a bit over time. The alignment also looks fine to me.

Re: C10-35 Thoughts
I find my C10 Deluxe pretty versatile in types of music that sound good played on it. I would imagine the C10-35 would be so also though IMO rosewood back and sides covers more territory than mahogany.

Re: om/string gauge
Could use a mixed gauge set as I have done for years on my pyramid bridge C10. Medium plain strings with light wound strings such as Elixir HD Light .013 - .053. Good balance for fingerstyle playing.
