Re: Same model- different woods

Hi, I have a OM1A SS and OM2H SS, have owned various other Collings models but always favoured their OM's. I'm also in the UK so appreciate it's a wee bit more difficult tracking down what you want.

Re: Thinking of taking the proverbial plunge...

Hi

No problem, good advice re Collings and the UK market. I agree with your take on Martin OM's although I don't have one anymore just a couple of Collings ones, I prefer them.

Re: Thinking of taking the proverbial plunge...

Hi Tremolo, Another Collings player here from the UK/Scotland. Jackorion has covered the points you raise very well and his advice in terms of UK Collings dealers is spot on. Re: OM1-A Varnish "High Upkeep"

Hi
I had this guitar for 3 years and had no problems in terms of the finish. I guess it would depend where you play, mine was played in the house all the time and I guess because I knew there may be issues I kept a more watchful eye on how I treated it. Buy and play with confidence, superb guitar.

Re: Collings 01

Hi I also have an O1, great little guitars. Looking at your pics personally I would consider two courses of action. First, and probably the favourite, return the guitar, what was the description of the guitar ?, did it mention the defects/condition. Second option keep guitar get it repaired, cost be...

Re: Collings Baby, 01, or 02H as a Travel Guitar?

Hi Marc I have owned both an O1 and a Baby O2H and used them both as a travel guitars. The baby is easier to live with on the road, especially air travel, not much difference between the case lengths, maybe couple of inches, bit of a reduction in the depth. However if you are going to be playing the...
