I put some Curt Mangan strings on my Om1a-jl and now it sounds even more interesting. Makes a big difference compared to the the nickel bronze strings that come standard on this guitar

I know of one in a fine shop. It is a d2h with Brazilian back and sides

I’m still not completely impressed with terrified top guitars although I did play a Bourgeois dreadnought with a torridied top and hide glue that sounded pretty good

I have the 1. 11/16 inch and love it. I ought a used D2H with the same neck size and I am very happy with this size too. I too make more mistakes on the 13/4 inch neck size guitars.

Every torrified wood topped guitar I have played has been great sounding and looked good too. I have not bought one yet though

I tried mediums on my OM1a-JL and was disappointed. I quickly removed them and installed some Curt Mangen medium/lights and found that these strings were better suited. I get a nicer bass sound and bendable bright treble response

What is the preferred neck size and string spacing for this guitar? Collings offers the 1 and 3/4 inch neck as an upgrade but I have read that this neck is not similar to the worn down neck dimensions of Julian Lage’s Martin.

What is the opinion of this forum regarding bear claw Sitka or Adirondack tops? Is there a discernible difference in sound between a non bearclawed top and one with bear claw? I think there is
