Absolutely, this is a fine guitar. It has a very unique vintage sound quality that is difficult to replicate without using torrified wood. Plus they can be very loud

I would like to know how these new guitar models from Collings Compare to the varnish guitars.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Collings could make a Pre-war herringbone D28 with aged Adirondack and Brazilian back and sides with their varnish treatment
