I would like to add to the discussion: I own the prototype D1 Trad.from the NAMM show 3 years ago. It has a torrefied Sitka top and is an awesome guitar, my number one. I also own a D2H Trad. with the same top, equally impressive. I found the torrefication process to be of great advantage for travel...
