Re: Collings Logo inside the guitar

Good spot of that signature. I don't know who 'Edwards' is but I'll bet that if you emailed Collings then they'd tell you.

Assuming that label is on your guitar, who else has signed it as well as Bill? I notice that the model name isn't written on the lower edge.

Re: No More Collings Cases?

The puzzle is why the Collings cases are still featured prominently on the website. According to the site, you can still purchase an OM case, while all the others are listed as "sold out." I have no idea whether you can get an OM case, or whether the case that seems available is just a mi...

Re: No More Collings Cases?

Thanks for the reply, Trav. One or two posts said the TKL cases are not up to Collings' standard and I misinterpreted this as Collings are no longer supplying TKL cases - you are right in that it would be difficult to package and ship them without a case. i knew the Traditional cases were no longer ...

Re: No More Collings Cases?

Could somebody just clarify for me, please: is Collings no longer making and supplying their in-house Traditional cases and also no longer supplying TKL- made (Collings' badged) standard cases? i.e. no cases at all with a new Collings' guitar. Is this also the case (sorry for the poor pun) for their...

Re: New Member/New Collings: DS1A

Welcome to the forum. That's a beautiful guitar. I've always been attracted to 12-fet dreadnoughts and that particular model would be the one I'd choose. I cant justify it whilst keeping my OM2h, though. Although Collings' guitars aren't rare (in the US, at least; they're a bit thinner on the ground...

Re: New shop tour video

Enjoyable to watch. It's good that Bills ethos is still present amongst the builders.

Re: Bill collings label signature

@pto That my understanding, too. although admittedly just gained from reading internet comments. To me, it would make sense that Bill would aim to sign every label as this would fit in with his traits of consistency and completion, amongst others. I'm sure that he also like to add a personal touch t...

Re: Always worth walking in that pawn shop

Nice find. Just enough marks and wear that you don't need to worry about putting the 'first dink' on it but it still looks perfectly presentable. It's actually quite nice in a way to see a Collings in something other than showroom-condition - not that there's anything wrong with looking after guitar...

Re: Thinking of taking the proverbial plunge...

Did you go for it, Jack? Noticed it went the day after your post. I looked at GuitarGuitar's site yesterday and a D-1 and a 002-h (I think it was) have now gone. I mentioned it in my earlier post, but there seems to have been a big buying spree on Collings in the UK. I had half-an-eye on that D-1, I...
