A seller of a 2013 D1A tells me that 2013 and after are superior compared to earlier examples.
Is there any truth to this?
What would the differences be?

Re: D1A neck profile?
Thanks Mark for the reply. The main thing that I am trying to learn is if the typical mod V has always been the same over the years, as I am considering the purchase of guitars built from 2000 up to the present.

Re: D1 dimensions compared to Martin?
Thanks for the reply. Actually I was was wondering if I should send the tracing to Calton, or if I could just buy one off the rack.

D1 dimensions compared to Martin?
Are there any dimensions that differ from a typical Martin D18?
I'm wondering if I can buy a case designed for a "Martin Dreadnaught", and get the same good fit?

Re: D1A Special
Well when he told me it was basically a traditional I assumed it was 2 5/16 at the saddle. I don't want that. However he now says it measures 2 3/16, so who knows?
Is it ok to post the dealer link here?

Re: D1A Special
Thanks guys. I believe I will pass on this and grab a D1A instead. The string spacing on the traditionals is not what I want here. All the info is appreciated.

Re: D1A Special
Ok so the selling dealer claims this guitar is one of about 35 made for Namm of that year. He says it is basically a Traditional from before that was a model.
