Has Collings Ever Offered a Guitar Stool?
So many other makers have and I was just curious. I'm guessing if Bill had ever built stool, it would have been out of exotic leather, been perfectly balanced, beautiful and the best on the market. You just see so many builders offer guitar stools. I was just curios as to whether Collings had EVER o...

Re: Bruce VanWart Retiring!
Hey Red Oak, Well, I'm hesitant to say this because everybody says it about their "new" guitar. Seriously, and with not an inkling of exaggeration, it is the finest acoustic guitar I've ever played in my life. The build is perfection, the action is a very low/comfy, and my gosh at the tone...

Re: Relief or no relief? What do you think?
I set my guitars up, and Collings to me are really easy to get spot on to factory specs for relief via the truss rod/saddle saving, etc. I'm 65, and have played for maybe 55 of those years, so I've heard read it all regarding relief. I've obviously heard others discuss loss of volume when lowering a...

Re: Has anyone switched to Waverly 21:1 tuners?
Man, I don't know. My 3 Collings guitars have Waverly 16:1, the standard Collings tuners, and they seem pretty precise, secure and fine tunable to me. I've changed a bunch of tuners through the years, including the tuners on my D2HA, but not due to function, or lack thereof, I changed them because I...

Re: Bruce VanWart Retiring!
No doubt he will be missed enormously at Collings. i ordered a guitar back in November, and it arrived mid April. I hope, and assume Bruce selected my woods and am very grateful for that.

Re: Collings 01A/Assisted Living Music
I wish I could be of assistance, but haven't noticed missing posts. If I do in the future, I'll be happy to let you know. The only thing I've noticed seems to be diminished activity, but no particular posts specifically. Obviously, we don't have the monitoring tools you have though.
