Re: Same model- different woods
I would think perhaps you might go with an all mahogany guitar for more variety. Perhaps there are reasonable sound bytes on the web for comparison purposes. I, myself, am a 12 fret fiend. One of which is an all mahogany Martin 0-15S and its sound is definitely in contrast to its spruce topped colle...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLLINGS, AND WHY?
Many years have played a Collings 02-H Englemann, 14 fret. Subsequently have an 02-H 12 fret that is definitely my "grail" or "retirement" guitar. I play fingerstyle/classical and I can play anything on the little beastie--even classical tunes in a poor imitation of my idol, John...

Re: New member here with WL-K and WL-S
Welcome to the forum. I am a constant follower but infrequent poster. Great discussion here though. Collings 02-E has been my main guitar for years, but I am really a 12 fret fan. Hence a recent opportunity on a Waterloo WL-K. I totally agree with your assessment. I do a lot of fingerstyle blues, go...

Re: Same body, different woods?
I have no problem with that idea. While not exactly the same body size I have a Collings 02 which is rosewood-Engleman combo and am looking at a Baby in the standard Sitka-mahogany combo.

Re: New Owner-New Member
Collings guitars are my personal favorite. O2 has been my main player for years. Wanting something with a different voice I bought a Waterloo WL-K a few months ago. Lightest guitar I have ever played and really distinct and balanced voice. I notice no drop-off in fit and finish on my Waterloo compar...

NGD Waterloo WL-K
Friends Courtesy of the fine folks at Dusty Strings in Seattle, I have taken delivery of a model WL-K. It joins 2 siblings: A Collings O2HE and a Huss & Dalton 00. (I would be happy to post photo, but when I try to attach it says file too large-which seems odd for a simple IPhone photo). At any ...

Re: Waterloo Guitar Search
I was inquiring from a dealer about ordering a WL-S model (this is one of the Premier dealers, mind you) and they told me the wait is 2.5 years and that don't expect any new Waterloo instruments until 2023. So it seems that we are getting similar stories.

Re: C10-35 Thoughts
Thanks for info so far. I have a sale pending on a Martin 00-18V. If that goes through I will begin the search in earnest.
