Re: fret wear

I've had my share of guitars with marks and notches on the frets. I never had any of these impact the playing of the guitar. Except a 50 something Les Paul. I'd keep an eye on it and do something about it when it becomes a problem.

You have to admit wearing a Taylor shirt is pretty cool.

Re: Small-bodied Collings - flatpick

I have been flat picking my Collings 001 Traditional and it sounds great, clear, toneful and well balanced. I fear I may not like a dread any better.

Re: Baked Vs Regular Sitka?

There is a sound in the high end of the notes I hear from baked tops that I'd rather not hear. It sounds artificial to me. And baked is not the correct term. They evaporate the moisture under a vacuum. Water boils at a lower temperature when under a vacuum.

Waterloo Production Status 2022

This subject is being discussed on other forums so why not here? The bottom-line story makes it sound like Waterloos may not ever get back into production. Some things being said are that the Collings work force is down to 30% and that the building or area where Waterloo guitars were being made is n...

Re: Waterloo WL-S Score

I guess I'll add to my first OP. I got an amazing WL-S that has very interesting cherry wood and the finish is a little different also. It isn't going anywhere. It doesn't get much playing time as I use my WL-S Deluxe mostly. It's the one I perform with. I do pick it at times to keep it healthy. I a...

Re: Elliot Capo

I second emailing them as they will take care of you as they have experience in all facets with almost all guitars when it comes to capos. They have a great product and anyone that has experience with them say the same thing.

Re: New Guy!

Welcome. Nice guitar also. I have to check them out a little closer. In the real world the new guy always gets a little bit of a hard time but here it's all good. Welcome.

Re: NGD: Waterloo WL-S

I would appreciate any feed back you might have once you have changed out the tuners. Personally I haven't looked into but it may be an option for me to look into. Let us know if you would. Take care.

Re: NGD: Waterloo WL-S

Sweet! It looks in excellent shape. I have a WL-S Deluxe and a WL-S. The WL-S is my secound WL-S that I have owned and they are very consistent. The WL-S guitars have a touch more individual note separation than the Deluxes. These ladder braced guitars are hard to find. Enjoy.
