Waterloo Serial Numbers and Build Date?

I can't seem to find information about when a Waterloo guitar was built by using the serial number. Does anyone know where or if I can find this information? Thanks

Re: Repaired top crack(s)- effect on sound

I do see where the vintage guitar people don't touch this subject. They pay BIG money for vintager guitars and top cracks and it's affect on the sound isn't something they appear to be concerned with.

Waterloo WL-S Score

I have a WL-S Deluxe as my main guitar. Not my Collings 001 T or my 00 SC but my WL-S Deluxe. It's the guitar that works best for the country rag jazz blues I do. Re: Change in Adhesive on T Models

I've had many high end guitars with and without hide glue. I couldn't tell any difference in sound that I could attribute to the glue that was used. I've read the forum opinions of many luthiers and I don't remember any of them saying they hear any real difference.

I don't have any problems with my 001 T. I don't know what year it is though.

Re: Off Spec Affect On Value

I don't think it is that much of a difference. I would guess that it would be a wash. The guitar picks up more potential buyers on one had and loses some on the other. Then there's those that don't care that much one way or another.

Re: OM1A JL pickguard

I got a SC guitar like that once so it is common but I wouldn't say it's a standard practice. All I can say is be careful and take your time putting it on the guitar. If you don't get it stuck on just right it will be all you can see whenever you look at the guitar. Do overs are allot worse than get...
