I am looking to purchase a Waterloo WL-S.

Could humidity have something to do with this? Are they evolving issues?

They are sweet guitars. I truly believe that the thinner finish on Waterloo guitars is a lesson to other guitar makers that thick finish takes away some responsiveness of guitars.

I monitor the acoustic guitar market pretty close and I can not say that I have been seeing any cracked torrefied tops. IME

I saw one go up on Reverb last night. It won't last long. I have mine and love it.

I would like to buy a 12 fret sitka hog ladder braced Waterloo with the body depth of a Wl-14.

I am being told by a reputable music store that I can order them but there is a two year wait now. I can order a Fraulini guitar and not have to wait as long.

Are they still producing Waterloo guitars? I have been looking for a couple and it doesn't appear to be any new Waterloos entering the market.
