Re: CJ 45
I agree that the CJ-45 leans more vintage, and I think even more so than the other T line-up. Wonder why? C10-35T on the horizon?

Re: CJ 45
I'm not in love with that demo for some reason, and would say that CJ-45T sounds nothing like mine. Could be the sound quality or playing style. On that note, I think this below demo highlights how my CJ-45T sitka sounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sVQldfZ9g0 I think it's a little of both. Ye...

Re: CJ 45
Mike, Glad you joined the CJ-45T Sitka club! Congrats. I was prepared to immediately put nickel bronze strings on my CJ-45T but found the EJ17's to be pretty well suited. I might try NB when the OG strings wear out, but I'm content for now. I have no intention to drop down to .12's. Side note: I nor...

Re: OM2HT vs Julian Lage OM1A
I'd pick the OM1AJL but not slighting the OM2HT. I just like the sound of mahogany and the JL neck profile a lot.

Re: CJ 45
https://themusicemporium.com/products/collings-cj45t-adirondack-tradtional Looks like TME just got a new one. I promise not to snag this one.... :D My CJ-45T Sitka is literally the best acoustic that I've ever owned. I've pondered adding an "A" version because of it. Whatever Collings did...

Re: CJ 45
For those looking for that epic 40/50's Gibson bass, this doesn't guitar does not do that. It's still ultra-focused just like every other Collings. Loved your whole take on the 45.... Especially the neck! And the quote above. I was expecting that bass, and was slightly disappointed at first, but th...

Re: CJ 45
I wish Collings offered larger necks on more of their guitars! Collings does offer larger necks. Except for an 01a that had a VN vintage now neck, and an OM1aJL with a 1 3/4 T neck, I had a bunch of Collings dreads with their original big "vintage' neck. Not like a wartime Gibson neck, but com...

Re: CJ 45
Now that I've had more time to play the CJ-45, I can say that MarkT is right about these being very different from other Collings guitars. Even though I bought the sitka version, it is so loud that I want for nothing. The neck is amazing, but big. I don't notice it when playing though. I wish Collin...

Re: CJ 45
I typically prefer Adirondack on their dreads and OMs, but have always like the CJ's better in Sitka. On that note, my CJ-45T arrived and it's a great instrument. I imagine this is close to what a 40's Gibson jumbo might have sounded like when new.
