Re: Elliot Capo
Once you have used a G7th cap-o , you will not go back. They are very precise, conform to different necks, and really feel of quality. They may be a little more expensive but the materials and fit and finish are top rate. G7th on the left in the picture and the Elliot and Chub on the right. You can ...

Re: Music Therapy - Collings 01A
I have seen that people in these facilities respond well to things from their youth. It seems memories from early in their life often remain while those later are fleeting or gone altogether. The music that we often most passionate about is defined in our late teens and into our twenties. Find a top...

Re: Music Therapy - Collings 01A
This is great! Hope others will follow your lead. I will also say that it is a good low risk (not directed at you Dale) place to play in front of people that are just happy you are there with them. If you haven't done a gig yet and want to, this is a perfect opportunity. The people there really need...

Re: My Collings Hollowbody Trio
I know it is a tough question but you answered it with the differences that you experience. Most of us on the forum will not have such a trio so your feedback as a player and a holder of all three is valuable. Thanks!

Re: Braces
Sounds transmit across guitars really well. A sound can be generated in one place but mostly heard in a distant other. On more than one guitar with a rattle, it turned out to be a washer or bushing on a tuner. The sound seemed to be coming from the main body while it really was coming from the heads...

Re: Baked Vs Regular Sitka?
Here is a quote from Dana Bourgeois about torrified tops in a Reverb interview from 2016. "Mostly though, there’s a market preference for vintage. So boutique builders are building in that direction. That’s just where the market is right now. You see hipsters playing B-25 Gibsons and Style 17 M...

Re: There is a scammer on the site :Jeff Mxxx
There is definitely some scamming going on... I've got a WTB listed and I am getting some odd emails.... Just be careful and do your best to weed the legitimate ones out from the scammers.... anybody hear from "RickyRio" ? Dan He did post here and his posts and his account were deleted.

I appreciate your information about this individual but would like not to propagate names and reputations of people not on even on this forum. I have removed some elements of this post so we are now informed but are not going overboard. I ...

Re: Neck Reset
I am not saying it doesn't happen but the need for a neck reset on a 9 year old guitar seems a little unusual.
How much relief (curve) is along the fretboard when you have your straight edge on it? Is it totally flat or is it arching upwards?
