Ten degrees should not be any problem for wood. At least not unless the temperatures are less than 50F or greater than 80F. Ten percent change in humidity or even more for a few hours is again probably not a factor if in the sweet spot range between 40% RH and 60%.

I am not a fan of polishes in general. A polish typically has fine abrasives (the white residue) in it to remove impurities and imperfections from a surface.
