Re: Strings for a WL-S Deluxe

I use GHS phosphor bronze extra lights which are 11 - 50. I use finger picks and play country rag blues and early jazz music.

Re: Waterloo WL-S Deluxe Neck Adjustment?

Yes I monitor the RH and it has been around 50. Normally my guitars good around that point. To be honest, though, I changed strings at the problem has been solved. The only reason I didn't think of that first was the fact that it does happen every winter. Thanks

Waterloo WL-S Deluxe Neck Adjustment?

Every winter my Waterloo WL-S Deluxe gets a pinging sound on the high e string. It's started already and it isn't that dry yet. I can't figure out where it's happening and I do know my way around guitars. How intrusive of a adjustment is this?

Re: 0002H T limited run?

It looks like they will be amazing guitars. I like that they are 12 fret guitars.

Re: Buying 1st Collings Assistance

I can't be specific about the guitars you mention. My experience has been a slow walk into the Collings guitar group. For whatever reason I was standoffish. Somewhere I had this feeling that they were stiff. I got into Waterloos and love them. That changed my perspective of Collings. I also have a S...

Re: New truss rod arrangement on Traditionals - Noticeable difference?

So I'm sitting here asking myself the question 'Should I check my Collings 001T?' Then I thought what difference does it make to me. I like the guitar as it is and besides what can I do about it. Maybe, someday, or not. ;)

Re: New member here with WL-K and WL-S

Welcome! Waterloo ladder braced guitars are my sound. I have a Waterloo WL-S, Waterloo WL-S Deluxe and a Collings 001T. I can't say enought about them. Over the years I haven't had any issues with them. I play them everyday and sometimes twice a day.

Re: Same body, different woods?

Yes I would. But then I have a Collings 00 and a Santa Cruz 00 both sitka/hog. I love the differences from my Waterloo WL-Ss.

Re: New here. Just got an OM2H

That is awesome. You had a great experience and you went about it in the best way possible. I totally agree that first impressions are flawed. I generally don't care for a quick try of an unfamiliar guitar. That is a keeper.
