Re: Calton Cases - in pictures
Kind of flashy. I have one Calton case and like it a lot. More of a vault than a case really. I prefer mine to be plain and less obvious than most in this video. I also have a MainStage case that I had custom made that is also plain. The two cases are identical for obvious reasons.

Re: What polish/wax do y’all use?
Certainly no waxes but after an exuberant play or gig, I'll wipe down with Dunlop 65. A simple spray-and-wipe to make sure no "stickies" remain. You can do the same with water and soft rag.

Re: sitka surprise!
I have played a lot of great Adirondack guitars, but also played just as many great Sitka guitars. Agreed. I have standard-topped guitars that are top-tier because years ago that's all there was. However, while reading a bit more on torrefied tops I found the below statement at Sweetwater. I know every builder that bakes thei...

Re: Why Does Collings Ship Guitars and Cases Separately?
if it's a new D2H it should come in a Collings badged TKL case... This. It sounds like the dealer told you incorrectly. To my knowledge, from speaking directly with Collings, all guitar's come with either the standard case or Collings-made case. Some D-series guitars that used to come with the Coll...

Re: Any D1 T or D1A T owners?
My D1 is a D1 custom with some features like baked top. I played a lot of Collings when looking to buy a dread, the D1 Baked Top without popsicle brace was the finest I could find. I think the D1 (whether Std., Custom or Trad.) are some of the finest dreads being made today. I have other dreads like...
