I understand the T-bar version is not adjustable and the TR version is. It seems the T-bar has some advantages: * Lighter weight, so better balance with the small body * No adjustments to make * Less expensive My feeling is that the T-bar is likely adequate for me. I have never had to adjust the TR ...

Re: My D2H
It did not feel right to me. Then I wrote to Collings with the serial number and they sent me the build report... which said it was shipped with a 1 11/16" nut. I questioned that after measuring it incorrectly (I tried to measure the nut itself, and because it is tapered like the headstock that...

Re: My D2H
Well this beauty is boxed up and going back for a refund. It was advertised as having a 1 3/4" nut, but it has a 1 11/16" nut. I know that's not much difference, but 1 3/4" is my preference and I bought it based on the dealer saying that was what it had. That's an expensive guitar, an...

Re: My New CJ35
Hmmm. That is supposed to be a new guitar, and they supply them at the factory with EJ17 PB mediums. But I see what you mean, the silver color of the wound strings sure says those are not PB strings. https://photos.smugmug.com/Music/Collings-CJ35/i-dVck939/0/ec3f715d/X2/cj35-X2.jpg It has been a bit...

Re: My New CJ35
I believe they are D'Addario EJ-17 strings. That's what Collings installs at the factory, and this is a new guitar.

I really think these are some of the best looking guitars around. Pictures taken by Chicago Music Exchange, the guitar has been purchased and should be shipping to me today. https://photos.smugmug.com/Music/Collings-CJ35/i-kfc4pxk/0/44cf8d83/X2/cj35-9-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Music/Collings...
