Re: Is Collings changing after Bill?

The Traditional case is beautiful - as a work of art and as a match to my OM2hT I love it... BUT... as a gigging musician who wants to take my best guitars to gigs and play them I felt the Traditional case had some faults: 1. I felt I had to be more careful with it when loading it in the boot of my...

Re: Is Collings changing after Bill?

I suspect that discontinuing the T cases is a wise business decision. They are super nice, but mine sits in the closet and my D2HMR A T stays in a Mono M80 bag. I think a lot of people would prefer that the guitar cost $6-700 less. A few months back I received my custom ordered OM2 SS VN. It came w...

Re: Dreadnought for fingerpicking blues

Do dreadnought Collings guitars make good fingerpicking instruments and if so, what gauge strings should be on them? I like the smaller guitars but sometimes they lack the bottom end sound that a good dreadnought offers. Here is a clip I recorded back in 2007 Fingerpicking on my 2000 D2HSB. Very ve...

I picked my favorite and it will be the first Collings I've ever owned. :P Congrats! My collings and Waterloo have given me more joy than I could ever express. Would ...

Re: Does this "Collings" 0001 look 'legit' to you???

I found this "Collings" 0001 on eBay this morning. is it just me; or do too many things look 'not right'? https://www.ebay.com/itm/202627498881?ul_noapp=true - No label? I'm pretty sure ALL of Bills guitar had labels. Even the earliest examples?... - Says tuners are Waverlys, when clearly...

Re: OM3-Cutaway, Adi, short-scale, 1 23/32" nut, SB

Hello everyone, After an 8 and a half month wait, my new guitar was finally shipped to me. It's a Collings OM3 with a cutaway, an Adirondack spruce top, a 24.8 inch short scale, satin finish neck, 1 23/32" nut width and a nice sunburst. I decided to remove the fretboard inlay, I prefer a compl...

INSPIRATION

I have been playing the guitar for a very long time. There are many players here who are more skilled than I. But I want to sing the praises of Collings guitars and take time out to that them. My new OM2 SS VN is a dream come true. This guitar makes me sound better than I really am. It is inspiring ...
