I'm confused! I own an earlier model Waterloo (#105), non-truss rod, but now see all current models come with a truss rod. So I guess Collings changed the specs. That said, to answer the original question, my Waterloo neck is as straight and flat now as it was the day it arrived. I live in a climate...

I play a D1A Varnish, tried a few: EJ NB Nickel Bronze, EJ17's, Pearce PB and 80/20, Magnan, Newtone 80/20, and now back to EJ Nickel Bronze mediums. None were bad, but the NB's will be my first choice from now on.

Tough question. As you know, there is a lot more that goes into the equation than just the guitar - amp, effects, player, etc. In fact, I'd say the guitar is maybe the least important variable in the equation.
