Re: What’s your earliest Collings?

That would be my '99 D-1 I bought new at Gryphon. INCREDIBLE guitar!

The top was white when I bought it.

NGD! Collings D2H

When I received my latest newsletter from Gryphon and saw they had just gotten in a new D2H with 1 11/16" nut, I hopped into my car and a half hour later it was mine. Absolutely KILLER sounding/playing/sustaining guitar! Brian at Gryphon installed a K&K and I put away the factory case in fa...

Loving My Collings Dreads!

Pic taken today because I finally got around to doing it. My '99 D-1, '14 D2HA, and '95 D-3. All were purchased at Gryphon Stringed Instruments. All are equipped with K&K pups and sound fantastic both plugged and unplugged. I am a very happy and fortunate guy to own these incredible instruments....

Re: Thinking of taking the proverbial plunge...

In the future, and if you desire a smaller bodied guitar that doesn't have the "boxy" sound we're all familiar with, go for the Deep Body option. Bye Bye boxiness. I went the Deep Body option (adds 1/2" to the depth of the body) when I had a Martin Custom 000-18GE built for me. Zero b...

Re: NOGD!

Thanks! The guitar is indeed in dead mint condition. Could not believe the asking price at Gryphon was only $3400. I feel like I stole it! Gryphon installed a K&K for me and it sounds incredible both plugged and unplugged. This one stays with me to my final dirt nap. Knowing Bill undoubtably had...
