Re: The new AT 00. Can someone fill us all in?

There were a few on their Instagram feed but tHe site is having some issues right now. I remember in the comments Collings said they would post info soon. Can’t wait! Re: Joined the OM1A JL Club

I do. Don’t get me wrong, the V is subtle but it’s the main difference I wanted to point out. I would love a JL version of dread but doubt it would happen too. On the otherhand it’s a very successful model.

Or one could always have the T neck reshaped :)

Re: Joined the OM1A JL Club

Alright so I've had about two hours with the new T dread. The neck starts out slim like the JL but does not feel as flat in first position. The T neck overall has more of a V shape which the JL as you know does not at all. The V starts around the the third fret and gets more chunky as I approach the...

Re: Joined the OM1A JL Club

Funny you should say that. The JL has made me switch back to 1 11/16 on my other guitars. In fact I can't wait to go home to a new D1AT with a narrow nut that just arrived today!

For some reason Collings won't do a Waterloo finish on their other guitars. Hopefully that will change down the line.

Re: String Gauge?

I was thinking about trying mediums on my JL as well. Since the X is scooted back a little I thought it would be okay.

Re: Torrified Guitar Tops

I've owned 3 total with torrefied tops. Still have 1 and have another on order. I only sold the previous two to fund guitars with different necks. Unless one could swap tops on the same guitar it would be hard to be sure what the exact effects are so I just accept a guitar as a sum of its parts. I a...

Re: Delivery experience

I ordered one that was originally due this month and got pushed back to late March but now I'm told early March so maybe your guitar will be done sooner rather than later!

Re: namm 2019

I wonder if that is partially due to focus on archtops both in the Waterloo and Collings line now that is hose guys have so much practice carving :)

Bummer for the standard line but there are pluses, maybe.
