Re: Pickup Install on a D2H

K&K with a Vintage Jack is all I use. Have a pro do the install. Collings endpins are glued in.

Re: Serial number/date discrepancy

Well, I have answered my own question. I called Collings and the date and number are correct. They said most likely the guitar, an SJ, was started in '96' but kept getting pushed back to complete more popular models.
It was shipped April 1998. Serial number indicates early 1996.

Serial number/date discrepancy

I recently bought a used Collings from the late’90’s. The label is dated, as many were then, but the serial number is from two years earlier. Have you ever seen this much discrepancy, and what might have caused it?
I don’t want to give specifics at this time, until this is sorted out.

Thanks.

Re: Wireless Guitar Cable

I’ve been using a Line 6 Relay G50 wireless for a couple of years. I wouldn’t want to go back to a cable. Transmitter is in a pouch on my strap and the receiver is on a pedal board at my feet with my in ear wireless transmitter, direct box, and a couple of other things. Never had any issues, but I’m...

Re: Is Collings changing after Bill?

I suspect that discontinuing the T cases is a wise business decision. They are super nice, but mine sits in the closet and my D2HMR A T stays in a Mono M80 bag. I think a lot of people would prefer that the guitar cost $6-700 less.

Calton Dread case

I bought this case a few months ago new, and it’s still new. The traveling I was going to do didn’t happen.
Black with burgundy interior.

Reunion Blues Gig Bag 00/Classical

I used it for an OM. A little tight in length only, but worked fine.

It’s listed on Reverb here
