Re: New Collings C100
I just received this new model from Collings. I special ordered this Sitka/EIR guitar with a 1-3/4” nut. It was finished and shipped to The Music Emporium a couple of days ago. My first impressions are positive. Like all Collings it is perfectly made and plays beautifully. It comes with medium stri...

Re: Pickup help... OM3A
I fell in love with the sound of this guitar in person. After purchasing and installing the Anthem I've never been satisfied with the flat tone. I run wirelessly and need an option that works for that use. WHAT PICKUPS ARE YOU USING THAT YOU'RE PLEASED WITH? I have a Fishman Matrix Infinity in my M...

Collings playability and Vintage Now neck
I was looking for a fingerstyle guitar that had the same type of string spacing as my Martin M-30 with a less chunky neck. When building my Custom OM2, I knew I wanted it to be short scale, but wasn't sure exactly what I wanted in the neck. They suggested the Vintage Now neck. I had never played one...

Re: Collings Playability
There is a thread on AGF about — do you find Collings Guitars to be overly tight? This seems to be a recurring comment among some players. It strikes me oddly because I’ve always found Collings guitars to feel more comfortable and easier to play than any brand I’ve played. Sure new guitars can feel...

Re: Is Collings changing after Bill?
PJ, to your story, re: guitar/flight accidents. That is certainly a very sad story. I personally would never use a non-flight case to fly with a guitar. Ever. Even in Caltons/Hoffee there has been mishandling and damage. Bill did not design his case as a flight case...& he was the first person ...

Re: Is Collings changing after Bill?
PJ, I saw your post on p4 of this thread. What's practical for one is impractical for another. I take my Bill cases anywhere there is car travel or around town. The guitars that live in them aren't guitars i would travel with by air....so i got rid of the Caltons, except for one for my 00. Like man...
