That’s a beauty of a C-10! Collings has a history of making a few colored acoustics (and ukes). They’re not trying to sell them to everyone, so the rarity makes them pretty special.

I was a bit surprised to read some copy from dealers that the satin finish offered something different tonally. Started me wondering if it’s different in some way from the thinner Traditional finish, and if so, how. I had assumed it was simple a cosmetic difference.

I can’t ever remember hearing of any changes in the CW neck. I think the specs on the website would at least be true for all the “Collings Winfield” models, if not for the older “Clarence White” models too.

Yup. Collings confirmed it by email. They’re on the 2020 price list, but not on the website yet.
