I have a Collings with the standard 16:1 ratio Waverlys. They tune fine but they're a bit tight and I'd prefer the higher ratio. I think you may be confusing it with the C10 which is a small body guitar.

I think you're referring to the tortoise binding which is fairly typical on the OM1 models.
