Don’t buy the Torrefied top versions. I don’t like the sound that much and they might crack easier as they are artificial heated to mimic an aged top. The problem here is I think they are over- cooked and not allowed to dry through normal aging . I’ve had a couple of these tops crack unexpectedly an...

A D-1A is the one I have. It has the vintage neck and string spacing as well. I like that one quite a bit.

Wow, what a great guitar this must be! I love the whole concept behind this one. I really like the finish on this instrument as well. I can hardly wait to see and play one of these beautiful ones in Canada

My favourite wood combinations for guitars these days are the Adirondack tops and mahogany back and sides. This is what I like now. I have a OM1a-jl and this works perfectly for me. My other Collings is a D1A varnish with the same wood combos

I like Adirondack better because it works for me. I like the look of the wood and the sound it makes

I have two Pre- war company guitars with cracks in their tops. I had to have them repaired with hide glue. I have heard that the torrefied tops could crack easier

A lot of work was done to make it sound as good as or better than the original one that Julian Lage owns. It has an amazing bass response and a great vintage loud tone
