Re: Collings Made Case Information *UPDATE*
SCGC made a huge leap in price, as did Bourgeois. Collings has lagged behind and, even with this last year's price increase, has yet to reach the level of the other two. Huss and Dalton prices are also on the rise. There are still great prices to be found on used Collings, as well as the other three...

Re: Collings Made Case Information *UPDATE*
This is a disappointing move — if they’re not supplying the Collings cases with the standard acoustic guitars, I think they ought to knock about $500 back off the price. Back when they introduced the cases and started including them with the base models, they raised the price $300–500 which seemed ...

Re: Any CJ35 owners?
I like the Monel Retros (12-54) better than the J17's on the CJ35G. I also have Monel Retros (13-56) on my D1T. I actually just traded the CJ35G for a DS1, and the 12 fretter came to me with Retro 12-54.

FS: Collings TKL Dreadnought Case
I have a Collings TKL dread case that is 6 months old. Perfect, like new, hasn't left the house.
$275 shipped in the US. They are going for $400 with shipping from Collings.
Email with questions or to see pictures. Thanks!

Re: Any CJ35 owners?
Thanks, elambo. I have a set of GHS Vintage Bronze PB's ready to go next. I'll find a set of JP New Mediums to try after that.

Re: Any CJ35 owners?
What strings are y'all using on your CJ35s? I have a CJ35G and am looking for strings that give a little more warmth than the D'Add J17's. I just strung it up with a set of Martin Monel Retros last night. It'll take a couple days before these settle in and I know how they work out. I like Monels on ...

Re: sitka surprise!
I bought a torrefied D1T in the spring. It is everything I could ever want in a mahogany dread. There is a warmth and roundness to the overall tone and individual notes. My other two guitars are red spruce, and I am quite happy with them as well.

Re: Price increase question
The fact that Collings has decided to do away with the 10% discount (which equates to a price increase) has become almost controversial to some people. I am not sure why it is such a big deal. It's not like Collings has priced themselves out of the market or even beyond their niche competitors. The ...

Re: Label Removal
I pulled the back labels out of a martin D Mahogany 09. They looked horrible, like outfield signage in a baseball field. They came right out and intact. The new owner was happy to have them gone whenI sold it. I'd never pull the label out of my D1T, but I can see why you pulled it out of your 002H. ...
