Re: Thinking of putting a skunk stripe on my OM2H
I have seen some crazy looking guitars. Mostly I think it adds to the uniqueness of the instrument. People pay extra for a distressed guitar so a stripe is much more refined. As usually beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Collings, Martin, Taylor
Nice comparison of three guitar brands.
He has some other nice videos too. No affiliation with Paul Davids but I like his videos.

Don't be silly, oh wait you are Silly. Ok then it is ok. I am the Collings Forum Auto Bot responding to your post: This thread is perhaps revealing a great deal about the wide range of personal preferences. When I originated it, I thought it would be a smattering of randomness. Instead, it shows som...

Re: You can only have two.
It looks like the Ds have it so far. Not a big surprise I guess. They are the best in the industry for many.

You can only have two.
Most of us have several (or more) acoustic guitars. I often wonder if I could live with just one or maybe two. Of course I enjoy some variety of sizes, trims, woods, builders, etc but what might be the criteria for just two? What are your two that you own, have owned, or wish you owned? I will start...

Re: Are all changes bad?
Any changes whatsoever will affect the changes for some buyers. Many will not even buy if there is a guitar strap attachment. When you get into the thinner air of the moderate and expensive guitars, I think it is a good general statement that people tend to become more picky as the price points go u...

Re: Collings Gathering 2019
Seems that 2022 came and is just about gone. Any word if the events are happening and what the criteria is for an invite? There is a private FB group for the event but I have not seen any invites. It appears to be a closed group. Back in the day it was open and everybody was welcome. Anybody know if...

Re: CJKA - Lacking Tone
The biggest contributing factor is the model of the guitar. It is a a slope shoulder type design. As such, it is more balanced and restrained than a dreadnaught. Having owned a CJ Koa Adi, I can attest that they tend not to be as loud as a dred but they make up for it with more sparkle. Koa is a gre...

Options and differences.
There is another thread going on about specs and some interesting responses came up. It would be interesting to hear what people prefer about some of the options. The question is not which is better but rather what do you hear and feel with these options and which do you prefer. The classic models? ...
