Good question. I’m not seeing AP glue listed in the specs for the JL, so I’m thinking it made the transition when the other models did. Not certain on this though.

Based on another thread regarding this topic on a different forum, it sounds like the change happened sometime during builds that started in mid-to-late 2020.

Thanks Paul. Interesting and understandable. I always wondered how much difference the glue really impacted tone to begin with.

I was bummed to hear they stopped making them, although I understand the reason for doing so. They are works of art and really complete the package and compliment the guitars so well.

I love what Collings does with Mahogany. Adirondack and Sitka tops paired with Mahogany is my preference.
