Re: Iris Guitars. (DF)

They are decent guitars for the money. The builders, on the other hand, are people that will never see another penny from me. There are too many reputable, hard-working builders out there who value customer service and reputation over profit hunting. If you like dealing with slimy used car salesman...

Re: James tailpiece

IMO and experience, the James tailpiece is much more easy to string. It doesn't have the sharp edge of the Collings tailpiece where some of our hands come to rest. As good as the Collings tailpiece looks engraved. The James has more real estate for engraving and Weldon Lister has done a bunch of ve...

Re: ISO:One particular Collings OM2HGDBSB

Hi gang, I know this is a long shot, but I'm trying to track down one particular OM2H with a German top, deep body, and a sunburst that I sold away a little over a decade ago. It also had a tweed case. Long story short, it was my dream guitar that I had to sell under some difficult circumstances an...

Re: Has anyone switched to Waverly 21:1 tuners?

21:1 wouldn't necessarily be smoother. Part of the equation depends on the installation and if the tuner post is getting pulled forward under tension. As for the question of whether they're more precise.... you'll be turning the knob more and ultimately the tuning depends on your ability to hear th...
