I have a 2008 290 with Lollar Imperials. Just for information purposes, it had Sperzel tuners with the wavy washers for tension on the tuner buttons. I was never happy with that set up and decided to go with Sperzel locking tuners and never looked back. They fit perfectly and work so much better.

Ditto!!!

When you can, how about posting a recording of you playing your 290?

I'm a hack rhythm player. I would be too embarrassed to play the 290 for you.
