Traditional Cases Now Available

This afternoon received an email from Collings, as I expect most others have, that the Traditional cases are now available for ordering directly from Collings. Cases available are for D, OM, CJ, 0 14-fret, 0 12-fret, Parlor, A-style mandolin, and two listed as sold out (but I imagine will be available again)--C-10 and F-style mandolin.

I see this is posted on the other thread, but thought it would be useful to banner it as an announcement.

(Just ordered a CJ case for my CJ35G)

They will sell them as quick as they can build them.

I wrote to Collings about 00 cases. No response yet.

UPDATE 7/9/19: Collings wrote back: "We hope to one day expand the line to all models, so please keep checking back :)"

These cases look awesome in every way to me. The only thing I have heard and I’m not sure if it’s true or not, is that there is not really enough room as far as width in the pocket for string sets. That seems hard to believe but I have heard it several times. I still do not own a Trad yet, but I will soon. Even then I’m not sure I’ll find one with the Trad case or not because of the fact they don’t include them anymore with the Traditionals. I personally would have a hard time spending the better part of a grand for a case myself.

I have several of Bill’s cases; mandolin, OM & Dreadnaught. In all cases you can fit a package of strings under the headstock. & these cases are works of art.
