There is a common misconception that a dreadnaught is the king of guitars.... but think pick-up truck vs sportscar..... a dreadnaught offers a different timbre than a 00.....but volume is not related to body size. Yes, Right you are Paul, some small ones (especially heavily built '50s) are boxy. The cherry might be the '30s Gibson L-00s....
