Guitar Strap by Collings

Anyone think this guitar strap by Collings is worth the price?

Is it worth the price? Well it's a well made strap. I believe it's made by Levys and comes in at exactly the same price as theirs... but has the Collings logo. It's not like you're getting gouged on the price. I prefer straps that are light & can fit in the case without being laid along the fretboard. Would be great on a heavier electric.

Whether it reads Collings or Levy or anything else, that, to ME, is a lot for a stap. I have no doubt that it's a well-made product, a strap is just not an area where I find it necessary to spend $100.

I have 2 suede straps from Taylor so they should do.

Elambo, Me neither......nonetheless, people pay more for a watchband or a belt to hold up their jeans. My point is that Collings isn't gouging anyone or forcing them to buy the Levy strap without the Collings logo is the same price. Same old story, Porsche or Hyundai.

Hey now, Hyundai has come a long way since their horrific start. But I would def pick das Porsche over a Hyundai anyday.

As for the guitar strap, I like the Taylor suede guitar straps but the superficial side of me don't want people to think that I have a Taylor when I have a Collings.

Heck. for Collings' #1000 (a D-45) Bill showed it off, with the rest of the gang in front of the then-factory, - wearing a Taylor Tee.

Bill Collings and Bob Taylor were friends or at least as friendly as rivals can be. The folks at the factory in Austin told us about that when they showed us a specialized clamp that was developed by Taylor and used by the Collings factory.
