Just recently purchased a Collings guitar. Model is OM3SS just wondering what the SS means? I assumed it meant short scale. Guitar is pretty incredible and has basically had me throwing rocks at any other acoustic I play.

Welcome to the Forum. You are correct, SS stands for short scale.

Yes. The SS is for short scale. I have an OM2G short scale. With Collings OMs, the sound differences between standard and short scale guitars is subtle. I like both, because, even though they feel different, when I switch between a standard and short scale, as a player, I struggle to hear differences. The 3 version is a beautiful guitar. Congratulations!
