D1A Special
Re: D1A Special
i don't know, but suspect dealer hype. not that Collings never used the word Special from time to time, but the only time of which i'm aware was the #20000 "D-45 Special." at any rate, i'd think that it would have to be pretty darned special for them to use the word. as to the large number - could be that one was at Namm as an example and that a bunch more could be ordered.
Re: D1A Special
Well when he told me it was basically a traditional I assumed it was 2 5/16 at the saddle. I don't want that. However he now says it measures 2 3/16, so who knows?
Is it ok to post the dealer link here?
Re: D1A Special
I've never seen a Collings with 'special' written on the label and I've seen more than a few NAMM guitars as well as one of Julian Lage's OM1aJL guitars
Re: D1A Special
The guitar in question is at Daves in Wisconsin for anyone interested.
Re: D1A Special
agreed on quality/accuracy of photos. to me, music emporium always has enough lighting and very close white balance. very few others give me much confidence.
