Finally got my hands on a Satin finish D1!!

Bob, I am doing my best to not be swayed by the new satin finished D1T with the improved neck block design. My D1T is great...or at least good enough. Even when the guitar shops do eventually open, I am not going to demo a new Traditional. And I just traded my baked DS1 for a '98 HD28LSV and a bunch of cash. So I won't be needing that new D2HA TS. Maybe I am actually done buying guitars. Really and truly done. No, really.

I have had many Collings (and countless other maker's) Dreads over the years. My new D1ATS is the very best of them all right out of the gate.

Got my D1ATS today, it also is already the best Collings have played to date. Its just an incredible guitar. Im floored by the sound.
