Hi everyone,

I hope it's okay to post this here but I recently recorded this review of an OM1 a JL

https://youtu.be/fjXWEymUzxA

I thought this might be of extra interest as this particular guitar was supplied to me by the UK Distributor with D'addario PB stings rather than the NB ones.

I liked this guitar - completely different to my OM2hT - much more 'present' and with seemingly more bass, but at the same time less 'muddy' (not that my OM is muddy really) - it was quite surprising just how different they were playing them next to each other

Thank you for the review. You gave a great feel for what the JL OM is and can do.

Thanks for the review. I acquired an OM-1 a JL a few weeks ago. A truly fine instrument!

Lucky you! I'd love to get one with the Traditional neck carve as a compliment to my OM2hT one day...

Congrats.
With Nickel Bronze it gives you a balanced percussive sound that seems to work well if that was the sound one is looking for.
Other players who pick it up always ask me a question to explain what they are hearing and feeling, usually what kind of strings are these.?
I enjoy Phosphor composition as well, but N.B. seem to last longer and work on this model because as they diminish in the sparkle of new strings they enter a period where tonally they still sound clear.
Enjoy
