Collings Traditional Herringbone

Does anyone happen to know where Collings sources their herringbone used on their traditional rosewood based models? I love the slightly different take of the brown/wood aspect to it. I was wondering if I could find some for a future non-Collings build. Thanks!

You may want to call Collings itself. Whenever I’ve spoken with anyone there, I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

Good luck!

I don't think that is correct. When we toured the factory we saw no such equipment or operation.

Call the factory. They’ll tell you.

all i remember is that one of the collings blurbs or videos, back near the release, spoke about the machinations they went through to get what Bill, et al, was looking for in the herringbone. perhaps they found someone to customize for them. the color is so unusual, to me at least. but refined as can be!

Thanks for all the input! I followed the original reply and emailed Mark. As usual he was very forthcoming and told me all I needed to know. I am not sure if he intended for me to put it out there, but I’m headed in the right direction! What an amazing company in all respects!
