Collings Traditionals vs Hide Glue?

I read somewhere that Collings has stopped using hide (protein) glue on their Traditional guitars.

Any truth to this and, if so, what's the story behind it?

I was wondering the same. Gryphon mentions it in a recent instrument description.

Yes, that's where I read it too.

I would imagine something will appear on Collings' own site.

It seems they’ve removed the “glue” verbiage from the T-series descriptions

Looking back at Gryphon’s web site and considering the highlighted claim, this seems like it is either a major departure by Collings, or misstatement of apparent significance on the web page. It would be nice to know more.
