Kris,
I own it and play it just about every day. Mine is an 002HA T, 12 fret, short scale, Adi top. I purchased it in August 2020 from Music Emporium. The build quality is exceptional, the size is right for me and its voice far exceeds its dimensions. I've not had anything adjusted or setup as I felt comfortable with it right from the start and that continues to be the case. Notes are true up and down the neck and it responds well to finger picking as well as traditional strumming with a pick. I often play with a G7 partial capo on the second fret. It's a keeper.

Nick, it's beautiful, and I am thinking of one for myself. Did you consider the 000 as well? Also, it seems like the 00's I see are more expensive than the 000's. Is this correct, and if so, why would that be?

Any comments welcome. Thanks, Rob

Rob, I purchased it in the middle of the pandemic and did not visit any music stores. I’m more a noodler than a performer. My purchase was based on the reputation of both Collings and TME. I felt confident I could buy it sight unseen based upon images on TME’s website. I also knew I could return it if it did not meet my expectations. I was actually undecided between the 00 and the OM. What sold me was 12 fret, short scale, small body/light weight, and that beautiful slotted headstock. If I was able to demo both the 00 and a 000 in person, it’s possible I might have opted for the 000 but we’ll never know. Correct me if I’m wrong, but pricing seems to depend on tone woods and bling rather than size. The Adi topped 00 increased the price considerably over a sitka top. These are beautifully crafted guitars.

The Traditional models are more expensive than the standard models. Collings does not offer a 000 Traditional, so the price comparison price wise is traditional vs. standard.
