R Taylor was a boutique shop in a corner of the Taylor factory, using selected personnel, custom build techniques where appropriate, and premium materials from Bob's wood stash. It was like the custom shop for Taylor at the time.
This piece is one of my favorite acoustic guitars. R Taylor guitars are very comfortable and easy to play. Everything about them feels at home when you pick them up. The cocobolo on this guitar gives it that deep, rich tone with good sustain. Yet it also tightens the response for better clarity and note definition. Expect rich tone from across the entire spectrum with this guitar. It is great for many styles from finger picking to vigorous strumming. Another reason why it is one of my favorites - it is just a great and versatile guitar.
